Arthroscopic Remplissage in Indore
Advanced Solution for Shoulder Dislocation & Hill-Sachs Lesions
Recurrent shoulder dislocation can lead to complex bone and soft tissue injuries — especially Hill-Sachs lesions, a dent in the humeral head. At Ortho Pro Clinic, Dr. Ravindra Gupta performs Arthroscopic Remplissage, a specialized procedure designed to stabilize the shoulder and reduce the risk of future dislocations.
🔍 What is Arthroscopic Remplissage?
Remplissage (French for “to fill”) is an arthroscopic shoulder procedure used along with Bankart repair to treat Hill-Sachs defects. In this technique, the infraspinatus tendon and posterior capsule are inserted into the bone defect, effectively “filling” the lesion to prevent the humeral head from engaging the glenoid rim and redislocating.

⚠️ Symptoms Indicating Shoulder Instability
- Recurrent shoulder dislocations or subluxations
- Feeling of shoulder “slipping” or giving way
- Weakness or fear during overhead activities
- Clicking or locking in the shoulder
- Pain while rotating or lifting the arm
- Repeated shoulder dislocations
- Hill-Sachs lesions (bony indentation on the back of the humeral head)
- Failure of previous shoulder surgeries
- Shoulder instability after trauma or sports injuries
- Performed arthroscopically (keyhole surgery)
- Often combined with Bankart repair
- Involves filling the Hill-Sachs defect with soft tissue
- Promotes joint stability and prevents re-engagement with the socket
- Minimally invasive with quicker healing
- Helps prevent recurrent shoulder dislocations
- Restores shoulder stability and function
- Avoids the need for more complex bone-block procedures in many cases
- Effective for athletes and active individuals
Estimated Range: ₹75,000 – ₹1,40,000
Varies depending on procedure complexity and hospital facilities.
